Sitting in the hot tub on the quiet terrace of this beautiful, contemporary chalet, admiring the fabulous views of the Aravis mountains, it's hard to believe you're just 1km from the centre of La Clusaz, and 200m from the ski slopes.
Set in the Riondes area of La Clusaz, Chalet Fernand is surrounded by trees and mountains, yet the shops, bars and restaurants of this charming ski resort are all within easy reach.
And with spacious, en suite bedrooms, a cosy seating area around the fire and a furnished terrace on three sides of the property, you're guaranteed a holiday to remember.
La Clusaz is a traditional farming village that has developed into a thriving ski resort. There's a packed programme of entertainment and festivals throughout the year, and the Famille Plus label ensures that there's always something going on to keep children entertained. Together with the stations of Le Grand Bornand and Manigod, there's 220km of pistes to discover.
In the summer, cyclists and walkers flock to the area for the wonderful mountain trails, and there's a huge choice of other activities, such as paragliding, riding, golf and swimming. The medieval lakeside town of Annecy just 32km away is a great day out - enjoy a boat trip on the lake, have lunch at a canal-side restaurant or pick up a bargain at the antiques market.

Up to 10 guests will find plenty of space at this bright and welcoming three-storey chalet.
As you enter on the ground floor, you'll come into the hall, where you'll find plenty of storage space for outdoor clothes. There's also access to the triple garage and the ski room, which has more storage and a heated boot rack. There's also a utility room on this floor with a sink, a washing machine and a tumble dryer.
There are two bedrooms on this floor - a double room with an en suite bathroom and another double with an en suite shower room.
The first floor is dedicated to the bright and spacious open-plan living area. There's a fully-equipped kitchen with a cooking island, and a long window over the worktop so that you can admire the view while you cook up a feast. The large dining table, with room for everyone to eat together is positioned in front of the doors to the terrace - the ideal place to enjoy a soak in the hot tub, an apero, or maybe a coffee after dinner. Alternatively, you could get together on the L-shaped sofa and armchairs around the fireplace or round off the perfect day in the mountains with a drink at the bar!
There are two more bedrooms on the top floor - the master suite has an en suite bathroom with a separate shower and WC as well as an office area for those who would like to work remotely. The final room is a family suite, with a kingsize/twin bed and two single beds and an en suite shower room.

La Clusaz is an authentic mountain village which blends tradition with up-to-date facilities. Its traditional chalets and lively streets offer a vibrant setting with Savoyard charm. Nestled in the heart of the Aravis massif, it is only 30 min from Annecy and close to Le Grand-Bornand and Manigod. Its warm atmosphere and easy accessibility make it a popular destination year-round.
In winter, the resort provides easy access to the Aravis ski area, offering 210km of pistes that combine long descents and technical sectors across La Clusaz, Le Grand-Bornand, Manigod, and Saint-Jean-de-Sixt. The region also offers a variety of winter activities, including cross-country skiing, dog sledding, sledging, snow biking, ice diving and ice skating.
During the rest of the year, numerous hiking and biking trails lead to superb views over the Aravis, such as the Plateau des Glières. The village boasts a modern watersports centre providing activities for all ages and a wellbeing area. The nearby Lake Annecy is another great place for swimming, paddleboarding, and sailing. This beautifully renovated chalet sleeps up to 10 guests in four en suite bedrooms.
Set on the edge of the busy village of La Clusaz, you'll be in a great location to take advantage of the pistes in winter (200m) and the wonderful hiking and biking trails in the Aravis mountains during the rest of the year.
With two double bedrooms on the ground floor, and two more on the second floor, it's a great place for two families who each want a degree of privacy, or for a group of friends. Families in particular will love the top floor suite, with a kingsize bed separated from two single beds.
All of the kingsize beds can be arranged as twin beds if you prefer, making the sleeping arrangements very flexible.
The living area has been cleverly arranged so that the kitchen, dining area and seating area all enjoy the great view over the village and mountains. There's also a wraparound terrace with room to eat outside, or just sit in the sun and soak up the view.
The chalet also has a great ski room with a heated boot rack, a utility room on the ground floor with a washer and dryer, and a triple garage where you can keep your cars free of snow.

As an owner who grew up and worked in the village, I chose to name this chalet after my grandfather, Fernand, who built it on his own land. It reflects the expertise of the village's craftsmen, combining modern architecture with traditional influences.
From conception to construction, this chalet has been designed to offer unforgettable holidays for groups of family or friends.
The living areas and facilities have been carefully designed to encourage interaction and sharing. With its breathtaking views over La Clusaz and the Aravis mountain range, and its proximity to the ski slopes, every moment spent here will be precious.
